Education Is Foundation.

The Empowered Pregnancy was created because I constantly witnessed expectant mothers stop their fitness routine until their baby was born. It is POSSIBLE to safely start or continue an exercise program during pregnancy. During pregnancy, our bodies are STRONG and doing exactly what our bodies were intended for. Then, once our babies are here, we need to show ourselves more grace during the postpartum period. Our bodies have just gone through 9 months of changes. it is unrealistic to think we should just jump right back into workouts. You will get back to the workouts you want but it just takes time, healing and a well thought-out program.

Empowerment is Confidence.

One of my favorite things about fitness is seeing what we learn and achieve through fitness is translated to pregnancy, birth and motherhood. Expectations and information is coming at us from every direction, but what we really need is the confidence to make our own decisions. You know what is best for you and your family. Trust yourself to be empowered to make the best decision for you and your baby! With fitness through pregnancy, you’ll find that you’ll feel better, have more energy and want to tackle the expectations and information that you come across every day.

Support is Accountability.

“It takes a village” is a cliché, but truth nonetheless. However, this time the cliche isn’t about your child, but about you! Pregnancy and motherhood is hard. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it. It takes a village to support mamas after pregnancy. The Empowered Pregnancy community and I want to be part of that village, as we have all been or will go where you’re going. Support is paramount during your pre and post-partum journey. With the proper support, you will feel strong and confident to make the most of this very special time in your life.

 
 

Fitness During Pregnancy:

  • No fitness plan is without risk. Clearance from your doctor is required for The Empowered Pregnancy workout program.

  • During the first trimester, I encourage you to continue your current exercise program as you are able, remembering to rest and nourish your body as it makes the changes it needs to support your baby. The Empowered Pregnancy programming starts at or after Week 13 of pregnancy. Once you reach Week 13, I cannot wait to work with you.
